Welding Engineer

Team role: Development, programming, and implementation/refinement of (robotic) welding technologies on production automation projects.

Your responsibilities

  • Development of welding technologies and fixtures for robotic welding.
  • Design of 3D models and preparation of technical/technological documentation.
  • Implementation and supervision of welding processes at client facilities.
  • Ensuring correct application of welding procedures and standards.
  • Certification of welding procedures (WPQR) and welders.
  • Collaboration with production and quality control: training, guidance, and standardization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
  • Knowledge of technological processes and standards (especially EN 15085).
  • Knowledge of materials and their properties.
  • Excellent command of German and/or English (spoken and written).
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in welding-related production processes and/or quality control.

Additional assets (not required, but highly valued):

  • Experience with robotic systems and equipment (ABB, IGM, FANUC, FRONIUS).
  • Basic knowledge of NDT methods and weld evaluation.
  • Hands-on participation in commissioning welding cells.
  • Welding certificate (IWE/IWT).
